The rudder can turn you a few degrees over miles. They have the bow thrusters for docking and tight turning. The only way to make that sharp a turn is full rudder and full power. You have the 53,000hp to a propeller thrusting into the rudder which would create a directional force and turn the ship hard to starboard as we saw. Even turning the rudder and no power would not bring a ship that large around that fast. The rudder would plow through the water creating a small turning force. This is two separate events causing a crash and not a single system failure. It has to be deliberate.
