16 countries have now warned of power blackouts at the SAME TIME

Water, food, kerosene lamps, sleeping bags, and thermal tents, if you are in cold climes. Take a shower the instant it happens. What's in your water heater is the last hot water you'll see for awhile. You can get 3 hot showers out of a tank before that is gone. 5 if you limit them to 5 minute showers. Shampoo, scrub with soap, get really clean.

When the power goes, be the one that is ready.

BTW. Your little EV cars are the first thing you WON'T be using after that. Keep a gas tank of gas in cans, in your garage, so you can get around. And do not take needless trips. Drive only when you HAVE TO.

How about sleeping bags, a thermal tent for the family to stay warm in without power. and tons of water, propane stove to heat stuff, it's a big list. In fact, here is what I work against, when able. Hahahahaha

  • Kerosene lamps and paraffin lamp oil that burns clean or just cheap kerosene. Buy it by the gallon, not the quart.
  • Depending upon what part of the country you live in, go to a camping store and get a thermal tent and sleeping bag to stay warm in. You won't have power to run lights or a heater.
  • Canned food and a can opener.
  • A cheap propane stove and 2 months of propane. do it. Do it now.
  • Buy water, distilled water, by the gallon. Or distill it yourself. You can buy a distiller that runs on your propane stove, like I bought years ago. So, i can take store water and remove all that graphene oxide and fluoride they still in bottled water. Or, get a food grade 55 gallon container and fill it with a garden house and distill that. It's cheaper. it's what I did in 1997 and I still have one of the original 3 I bought then.
  • Medicines. Do it now. Not later. There is no later, only regret.
  • Can or dog food. Get a lot. Buy the 20 pound cheap bags of the stuff.
  • Ice chests so you can put your frozen goods in there while you eat them in the first week. Or lose them. Better to get it in your tummy, then toss it in the trash. If you think you can get by with one, then  buy two, as everyone learns the hard way.
  • Women, get lots of feminine needs stuff.
  • Trash bags, because service will be OUT.
  • Batteries for everything that takes batteries. Flashlights, handheld lamps. whatever.
  • This will get you started. Plus, if you sit down with some tea or coffee and think hard, you will have your own list and needs beyond the ABOVE MANDATORY THINGS TO GET.
