 They advertise as a no kill shelter and likely signed documents to that effect to secure the dogs and each dog they secured came with a large cash payment, since it was paying for a dog to be cared for over a long period of time in a no kill shelter. This person just gassed the dogs on arrival and pocketed the state's money. That's called fraud. So even if the dogs were violent and that can be proven the charge of massive felony fraud still sticks. Had they advertised as a no nonsense end of the line super max for dogs where problem dogs get gassed then there would be no fraud and no charges....but also no one would send their dogs there not private or state clients so they would make no money....hence the lies.....aka felony fraud.

 For the record, the dog death camp was mostly taking dogs from state and county shelters for large cash payments of tax dollars. They had to sign much paperwork about how the dogs would be cared for and adopted out. They also made hundreds of fake adoption records to pretend many dogs they killed were adopted out. So it's a huge web of organized felony fraud to defraud not only the public but to a large degree the State of California and multiple CA County governments. This is why they are in so much trouble, for stealing and defrauding the government.

I live here, it's more like 700. They only found 117 corpses. The guy who runs it is a faggot. He kept the collars at trophies. He was actively soliciting for shelters to send money because he got payed over a grand per dog he took, then he killed them.

 Yeah I’ve never heard of a shelter euthanizing dogs by shooting them as was the case here. This ABC article paints a grim scene. The shelter has camels and horses and other interesting creatures. I hope they find a good home ;_;

 No, it was a guy abusing public shekels by volunteering to take from no-kill shelters (who are often legally compelled to not kill dogs if literally anyone will volunteer to take them) by fraudulently declaring dogs adopted out/still in his care. It's primarily a fraud case, but cruelty laws are applying for violating euthanasia statutes and presumably failures in standard of care which really stack on the charges.
