I've only ever gone to bike shops. I've been in a few of these Corporate takeover shops. It was the same with surf shops. You had the local, understood the breaks and the owners surfed and you had these Corporate mega stores of expensive, trendy, celebrity endorsed gay shite and no one who works there has ever seen a surf break, much less surfed one. And those corporate surf boards sucked massive and had no soul of its creator, as the hand made, lovingly created soul boards that help the soul surfer connect with the Great Father and His Creation.
And there is a difference.
The jewbie corporate store is all about narcissistic image and the local surf shop is about swells and connecting with the sea, sand, and wind for a day under and with, God.
