Asleep at the wheel. Feeling safer?

Dude...totally scary! Guy sleeps while his Tesla drives down the highway doing 70?

//www.nbclosangeles.com/on-air/as-seen-on/Driver-Seen-Asleep-at-the-Wheel-on-405-Freeway_Los-Angeles-511228422.html

A Tesla driver appeared to be "fully sleeping for at least 30 miles" while barreling down a Southern California freeway, according to NBC.

A passenger alongside of the vehicle, Shawn Miladinovich, began taking video when he noticed that the driver was passed out, and that he had something "tied to the steering wheel" that the report assumes was used to trick Autopilot into thinking hands may have been on the wheel.

Miladinovich said: "I’d seen it on the news before, I just couldn’t believe I was actually seeing it."

The last time someone used Tesla Autopilot in traffic. I see dead people. Everywhere I go.

He said he first noticed the driver in Westminster, but saw him again about 30 miles later on his way from San Clemente to San Pedro. "I realized he was fully sleeping. Eyes shut, hands nowhere near the steering wheel. If his little thing tied around that steering wheel fell off, and he was still sleeping, he would have slammed into somebody going 65 miles per hour," Miladinovich said.

How could anyone get the wrong idea by a Tesla feature called "full self driving" or "Autopilot"?

After all, everybody knows that Tesla's in-car driver assistance technologies require you to keep your hands on the wheel and be attentive at all times, right? And certainly, Elon Musk hasn't sold these technologies to the public any differently, right?

Roads just got DANGER CHARLIE AND THEY WANT THIS SHIT FULL BLOWN ALL OVER THE WORLD?

Tesla Deaths is a record of Tesla accidents that involved a driver, occupant, cyclist, motorcyclist, or pedestrian death, whether or not the Tesla or its driver were at fault. Unfortunately, this list only accounts for 5% of the total known, as Tesla and the NWO not only shadow ban this link but have taken legal measures to have most of the content removed, lest you become to aware of the truth of auto pilot EVs.

The deaths in China are SO BAD that the Chinese government a few months ago banned the models S from being sold there due to the uber high casualty rate.

onboard computer indicates it was in auto pilot mode. The car killed the three occupants and four pedestrians. Accident hushed up in the media.

FROM THE INTERNET

A dozen fiery TESLA crashes per month worldwide, and idiots are lining up for their Darwin Award like it's the Academy! Rich people must have a death wish.

-----------
No one with common sense buys a Tesla.
-----------
Hey Elon...along with the satanic NWO satanists, these deaths are on you buddy.
------------

That’s a good feature for sitting in eternal California traffic. Of course if car doesn’t decide to incinerate you or take you to head on collision.
------------
A large percentage of humans will always want to opt out of directly experiencing their lives. "Autopilot" is bad enough but add the fact that at least 33% of all drivers are on SSRI's or some other type of prescription psychotropic med and you have to ask yourself, is it safe to be anywhere near a highway!
----------
Tesla owner's like to virtue signal right into the grave. And they are getting their faggy little wish, too.
----------
This, using "autopilot" software that can't detect or respond to red/green lights, construction zones and detours, or hazard vehicles driving / parked in its vicinity.

The automotive equivalent of Russian Roulette.

Tesla Belonging To Mary McCormack Husband Spontaneously Combusts In LA Street

 Mobile crematorium units

Hal: "Just what do you think you're doing, Dave? No Dave, I've locked the doors and the autopilot is now engaged, Dave. No, Dave, there is no escape from the burning battery. We designed it that way."

Who knew that Teslas now come with Elon Musk's famous "not a flamethrower" flamethrower included?
The Tesla Model S belonging to the husband of actress Mary McCormack spontaneously combusted in Los Angeles. In a late Friday tweet, the West Wing actress said that flames burst out of the undercarriage - most likely the car's battery compartment - while her husband was driving the car on Santa Monica boulevard in Los Angeles.
"No accident, out of the blue, in traffic on Santa Monica Blvd.  Thank you to the kind couple who flagged him down and told him to pull over. And thank god my three little girls weren’t in the car with him"
In the 45-second clip, a police officer can be heard warning onlookers to "stand clear" of the car in case it blows. It was not immediately clear if McCormack recorded the footage, although police dispatch radio can be heard in the background.
The latest Tesla fiasco comes amid growing criticism of Musk's production methods and scrutiny for Tesla over the safety of its vehicles following multiple crashes in recent months, several of which deadly.
A recent NTSB report found a Model X car running on autopilot was accelerating as it hit a barrier on a California highway, killing the driver. Regulators said that the lithium-ion battery in the electric car was breached following the crash, causing a fire to break out as the wreckage sat by the roadside, then proceeded to reignite several days later.
It increasingly appears that the Tesla car battery is the car's - and company's - weakest link, prompting questions into the logic behind Musk's investment of billions of dollars into battery production facilities.
In a recent controversial outburst, Musk lashed out at reports scrutinising Tesla car safety, saying the media focuses on its accidents while ignoring more frequent crashes of conventional vehicles.
Alas, incidents such as McCormack's will not help the car's track record, especially if the Hollywood elite, led by anti-Trump resistance leader, Chelsea Handler, make it "uncool" for celebs to be seen in the spontaneous combusting sarcophagus. This is what an outraged Handler said in response to the burning Model S:
This happened to my bff today. Who drives 3 girls daily in this car. @elonmusk @Tesla I have the same model and make. So, how many of these are on the road?

Even if I was worth over $15 million, it seems a waste of money to own what some people think is a status symbol, when you can buy a very nice car for less than half the price.   And you don't have to spend a lot of time at a charging station or wall outlet.  With a wall outlet, it takes 52 hours to get 300 miles of charge, with a 240 V outlet, it takes 9.5 hours, and with a 240 V 90 Amp outlet (which costs quite a bit I'd imagine), it only takes 4.75 hours.  This isn't good for long distance travel unless you only go about 300 mi/day.

Jim Chanos: Tesla Equity is ‘Worthless’

Submitted by Taps Coogan on the 15th of December 2017 to The Sounding Line.
Legendary short seller Jim Chanos, the man who predicted the implosion of Enron, had this to say about Tesla in a recent interview with CNBC:
“Mr. Musk and Tesla have a broad broad interpretation of the truth. There have been all kinds of announcements that this company has made, just in flippant comments, that are public statements that turned out not to be true. For example, most recently he unveiled the Semi, the Tesla Semi and the Roadster, and he said the Semi will be available in 2019, the Roadster in 2020. Where is he producing those? Those production lines have to be up and approved now, years before we get final production.”
“Mercedes Benz has electric semis on the roads right now testing. You don’t hear them crowing about this every day. You don’t see the CEO coming out. They’re on the roads testing and so its not as if electric semi-cabs are new. They’ve been out and so it’s remarkable that this company keeps hyping things that are already out.”
“We’re puzzled but don’t ask us, just ask the score of executives who have left in the last two years. We have a spreadsheet. We have to keep expanding the spreadsheet because it keeps growing.”
When asked if he had a price target for Tesla equity, Mr. Chanos replied:
“We think the equity is worthless, so how is zero?… A company that is wholly dependent on the capital markets has to assume that the capital markets will always stay open to them and that’s a very dicey proposition in my lifetime.”

A Tesla Model X owner had the vehicle’s Autopilot system engaged when the all-electric SUV crashed on a California highway, Tesla confirmed on Friday

Prior to the March 23 collision, Tesla said the Model X owner had Autopilot engaged with adaptive cruise control follow-distance set to a minimum. The driver, Walter Huang, had received “several visual and one audible hands-on warning” earlier in the drive. Huang’s hands weren’t detected on the wheel six seconds prior to the collision, Tesla said. Huang died in the crash. Tesla cars aim for fixed objects, rather than avoid them. Especially if the government doesn't like the driver.
“The driver had about five seconds and 150 meters of unobstructed view of the concrete divider with the crushed crash attenuator, but the vehicle logs show that no action was taken,” Tesla wrote in a blog post late Friday.
Tesla said it believes the crash was severe because the “crash attenuator,” a highway safety barrier which is designed to reduce the impact into a concrete lane divider, had been crushed in a prior accident without being replaced.
“We have never seen this level of damage to a Model X in any other crash,” the company said.
The confirmation that Tesla’s Autopilot system was engaged at the time of the crash comes amid a troubling time for the nascent self-driving car industry. This month, an Uber-owned self-driving car fatally struck a pedestrian, raising significant questions about the safety of automated driving technology. Following the fiery crash involving the Model X driver, the National Transportation Safety Board launched an investigation that’s expected to take months to complete.
The Model X crash is the third known fatality to occur when Autopilot was engaged. In January 2016, 23-year-old Gao Yaning died while driving a Model S on a highway in China, and his family’s attorney recently told Jalopnik that Tesla’s own data confirmed Autopilot was engaged at the time. A half-year later, Joshua Brown died in Florida after his Model S crashed into a truck. The NTSB said an over-reliance on Autopilot was partly to blame in that crash.
Tesla has been quick to post updates on the Model X crash in recent days, saying late Friday that it has been “working as quickly as possible to establish the facts of last week’s accident.”
“Our hearts are with the family and friends who have been affected by this tragedy,” the company said.
The NTSB initially said it wasn’t clear if Autopilot was engaged at the time it sent investigators to the scene earlier this week.

But the confirmation that Autopilot was on should only add more questions for an industry currently trying to untangle how to approach self-driving cars in wake of this month’s fatal Uber crash, the first known to involve a pedestrian and an autonomous car.

Another TESLA CAR explodes in flames...yet more proof this thing is not up in space

Tesla car in SELF DRIVING MODE CATHES FIRE AND THEN SLAMS INTO CENTER DIVIDER, KILLING DRIVER.

A Tesla = a 1971 - 1976 Ford Pinto- FIREBALLS OF DEATH. DIFFERENCE IS, ONE COST $1999.00, THE OTHER $130,000 and it only has a range of a hundred miles.

Lithium batteries burn like a mixture of nanothermite and magnesium concerned with EMF exposure, know this, an Tesla is like entering an EMF oven. A personal self imposed and financed EMF radiation hot bed, frying your genitals along with everything else.

we reported that in the latest, at the time, conflagration involving a Tesla car bursting into flames after its batteries exploded, a Model S burned to a crisp after an accident on an Austrian highway. The car's 19-year-old female driver had entered a construction zone on the highway, and when she tried to shift from the local to the fast lane, the car lost control and hit the concrete divider wall along the side of the road. A moment later the electric car burst into flames. It was unclear if the autopilot was involved in the crash, but the the good news was that the driver survived the dramatic crash unscathed.
Another Tesla explodes and burns. Lithium batts designed by Tesla kill their occupants.
Unfortunately, in a similar crash on Friday in California, the driver was not so lucky.
Driving on Highway 101 near Mountain View, California, a Tesla Model X suffered a gruesome crash when the vehicle hit a carpool lane barrier, leading two more cars to crashing into it, and causing the lithium ion batteries powering the vehicle to ignite and explode, at which point the vehicle burst into flames.
Tesla
Here are the details according to the Redwood City CHP:
The blue Tesla was driving southbound on Highway 101 at freeway speeds near Highway 85, when it collided with a barrier separating the carpool lanes on both roads and caught fire.
The burning car was then hit by a Mazda and an Audi.
"We saw a big cloud of smoke and then all of a sudden, there was a fire ball in the air," witness Aiden Sanchez said.
The driver of the Tesla was then taken to Stanford hospital. Tragically, the California Highway Patrol announced later on Friday that the driver had died from his injuries.
According to a timeline of occurrences, the cause of death appears that the driver was "trapped" inside the burning car.
No other injuries were reported.
Images from the scene showed the front of the Tesla completely destroyed as firefighters tried to get the fire out. Crews were still on the scene cleaning up as of noon.
The mostly plastic car doesn't leave much left when the lithium battery explodes and burns the vehicle.
Police told the local NBC affiliate that the car's battery may have been involved in the explosion: "We're used to regular vehicles, now that we have the batteries in these vehicles, we don’t know what’s in them so we're learning as we go," said CHP officer Art Montiel.
As they responded to the scene, officers were wary of the batteries. They called for backup before approaching the car, which may also have been the reason why the "trapped" passenger died inside the burning Model X.
A "Good Samaritan" who was riding his motorcycle down highway 101 (and who asked NBC to remain anonymous) shared what he saw at the scene of crash exclusively to NBC Bay Area after heading over to help.
"I saw, past the smoke of the smoldering and sputtering Tesla Model X and saw a man running up with a fire extinguisher," said the Good Samaritan. "I rounded towards what used to be the front of the car and saw, remarkably, an intact man that was covered in a light layer of dust. The front of the car was simply gone."
The Good Samaritan said he checked to see if the man had a pulse and shortly after determining the man was alive he noticed the Tesla wasn’t just smoking, but "actively emitting full flames from the battery bank."
The Good Samaritan and two other men were able to take the man out of the burning car and according to him, the man was completely unresponsive.
"We brought him what we hoped was a safe distance from the wreck, hoping the LiPo batteries weren’t prone to exploding," said the Good Samaritan. "Another man placed the victim in the recovery position."
Footage from the crash shows smoke and flames emanating from the vehicle.
Tesla
The only part of the car left is the back seat. Everything in front of that HAS DISAPPEARED ENTIRELY.

Tesla sent an employee over to investigate the crash and the subsequent fire. An exposed battery was visible inside the car.
Witnesses state that the car exploded BEFORE it turned sharply into the center divider, throwing debris and kill all for a radius of 300 feet.
