Out of 1,000 online and telephone respondents, “21% of Likely U.S. Voters favor making health care benefits available to low-income illegal aliens under the age of 26 in their state. Sixty-five percent (65%) are opposed, while 13% are not sure.”  One can only imagine the responses to question number two.

The only surprising statistic is that 13% had not yet picked a side in what might be the watershed issue for 2020 presidential candidates.

Last week, Newsom’s quest for universal healthcare – including illegal aliens – was passed by the legislature as part of a $215 billion budget.  He was self-assured and puffing in his peacock fashion, declaring, “We’re going to get it. We’re committed to universal health care. Universal health care means everybody…We will lead a massive expansion of health care, and that’s a major deviation from the past.’’

Laurel Lucia, health care program director at the University of California-Berkeley Labor Center, gushed excitement at expanding Medi-Cal to illegal alien while forcing taxpayers to foot the bill through individual-mandate penalties.  “The bigger reason to do this is about values,” says the woman who seems not to care about legal citizens in need of health care benefits.

And to boil it down in dollars, for those Californians who do not buy insurance, they will now be hit with a penalty of $695 or 2% of their household income, whichever figure is higher. These fees and punishments do not apply to illegal aliens.


But Lucia went a tad over the top with “What kind of state do we want to live in?”

Many Californians – and other Americans, for that matter – are aghast that 1,130,000 plus people in the Golden State are homeless, living in undeniable squalor, and not only contracting highly contagious medieval diseases but spreading them to others. Perhaps the state should round up the unwashed American masses, clean them up, and give them free healthcare so the rest of the nation can avoid the Black Death? But oh...hell no, we can't have whitey getting benefits, nor any race that is a citizen, unless it is a designated minority. Like Hispanic.

But, in California, whitey IS THE MINORITY. Hispanics make up the majority. It's about that time in the discussion shrieks of racism are tossed around.

Newsom campaigned in part on universal healthcare, and it’s no secret he has his sights on a national run in the future – perhaps president in 2024 depending on whether President Trump trumps the progressive left in the 2020 winner take all contest.  But protecting illegal aliens before addressing the most significant crisis his state faces – homelessness – is not going to help him avoid the political gallows.

The state’s current crisis of reality — highest poverty rate in the country, no affordable housing, taxpayers fleeing to points east, and vicious identity politics ranking California much further left of the nation as a whole — are becoming serious millstones for this progressive governor.

Add to the list of Newsom’s liabilities, the boilerplate individual health plan in California starts with premiums of more than $5,000 a year and annual deductibles can skyrocket to several thousand dollars each year; as well, most procedures and medicines are NOT COVERED even if you do have insurance.  Which means folks are going to have to decide to pay thousands for private health plans or be taxed in penalty thousands to pay for illegal aliens.

Perhaps the evil governor should take stock of what Americans think about his plan to give aid to illegals as his fellow countrymen suffer on his once gold-paved streets.  He may find his bullshit holier-than-thou ideology could soon blow up on him — and signing this budget might be the match he strikes and regrets. 

That's not very likely. The bastard knows exactly what he is doing and who he is doing it to. Just because the Hildebeast is gone, doesn't mean the plan to F the USA in the A is going to stop, because it's not. Trump or no Trump.

We're are screwed. 2% of your income because most Californians who have to work to stay alive cannot afford individual health care.

Otherwise fiscally sane Californians know how pervasive illegal immigrant labor is, and how it has become a foundation of the state's economy.  All low wage industries and most home services run on this labor source.  This problem has been building for decades, aided by a federal government that did not manage the border, politicians that got free supporters, and business interests that have profited handsomely.

The losers are and will be the public, duh.

In practical fact, illegals already get free healthcare.  Just ask any healthcare worker.  Few hospitals turn patients away based on citizenship or ability to pay.  The insured have been subsidizing this free healthcare with some of the highest rates in the country.  Newsom's plan just spectacularly puts the icing on a distasteful cake.

As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:
I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels.
Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, etc., where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.
Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I'm not talking a glass of milk and roll, but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten.
I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more have cell phones.
The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids.
I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer-learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti…
I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them 'Putas' (whores) and throwing things, that the teachers were in tears.
Free medical, free education, free food, day care etc., etc., etc.
To those who want to point out how much illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they like their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the true costs. Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, over crowding, new diseases etc., etc., etc. For me, I'll pay more for tomatoes.
We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in his right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?

It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about 'political correctness' that it doesn't have the will to do anything about it.

At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an 'earned income credit' of up to $3,200 free. (The 2010 earned income credit [EIC] if the IRS worksheet amount is $12,550 for a single or married couple filing jointly with three children is $5,666, maxing out entirely at a $48,350 “worksheet amount.” The credit begins at $2 with $1 of worksheet amount and no children. These cash “amounts” do not affect welfare amounts determined for Temporary Assistance, Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income [SSI] and/or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (food stamps and low-income housing.)

1. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent.
2. He qualifies for food stamps.
3. He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.
4. His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.
5. He requires bilingual teachers and books.
6. He qualifies for relief from high-energy bills.
7. If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI.
8. Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare.

All of this is at taxpayers’ expense.
He doesn't worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners
insurance.
Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.
He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits.
Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills and his. The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash cleanup.
