Tesla burns through, at a loss, 15 million dollars a day producing a turd car

Tesla is an Agenda 21 company

One of the major selling points of an electric car is the Fuel Savings.

I just spent 15 minutes gathering the info and it is all bullshit! I used Tesla’s numbers, but they apply to all other EVs as well.

So, let’s compare the costs – they are based on the three quotes at the bottom of the post:

Electric Car

Recharging costs (over 100,000 miles at $.45 per mile)….. $45,000

Replacement battery (after 100,000 miles or 5 years)…….$10,000

Total cost…………………………………….............…………$55,000

Mercedes C-Class @ 28 mpg (a random Make and Model)

Number of gallons used to drive the same 100,000 miles is 3,571 gallons X $3.00 per gallon = $10,713

Even at $4.00 per gallon, the cost of gasoline would be $14,284

Maintenance and service costs are free for the first 3-4 years, but even if they are not, 6 or 7 Oil Changes (every 15,000 miles) would add another $1,000, totaling at $15,284

So, driving an Electric Car costs $55,000 and driving a Gasoline-Powered Car costs $15,284, where are the fucking fuel-savings? Where is the beef?   ;-)

1. Charging Costs: It's roughly 3 miles per kilowatt-hour. Electricity costs between 10 and 20 cents per kilowatt-hour in the various U.S. states, so your charging costs would be between 30 to 70 cents per mile (average – 45 cents).

2. Battery’s life expectancy: The lithium-ion battery pack in the Tesla Roadster is projected to have a lifespan of about 5 years or 100,000 miles. At the end of that time the pack will need to be replaced, at a cost of approximately $10,000. It takes on average 3 weeks to get a Tesla battery ordered and installed. THREE WEEKS!

3. Gasoline Costs: The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is no hybrid, but for its class, it scores decent gas mileage. The newly-arrived C300 in rear-drive form improves the 4Matic all-wheel-drive version's gas mileage figures slightly, at 25 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined.

TESLA SUPPLIERS HAVEN'T BEEN PAID IN OVER A YEAR AND COUNTING, BTW!

Musk claimed 500,000 deposits on the 3..... Stock jumped $20 on that.... Later- when asked directly- he admitted that the number was really 450,000 with 62,000 cancelled orders, so they have a "pre-net" 512,000 orders pending....

Uh, yeah dude- good luck explaining that funky math to the SEC when they come after you for pumping.....   He also managed to duck questions about marginal growth of deposits,  failure to process refunds in a timely manner (I've heard there have been complaints), and basically shrugged off any sort of material question;

Cabin warmth from a gasoline engine drawn entirely from the heat of the piston combustion.  It's a happy accident.  Funny thinking about how many volts it takes to electrically heat the inside of a car.  Think of an electric house space heater (and those always seem to catch fire too).
