Sigh...there is so much junk out there about 2012 and the apocalypse and all that. Preachers blast their congregations with it, it's all over youtube, and the video stores are just full of enormous amounts of misinformation. Here are a couple of things to remember.
First, most of these exposé’s on end times use the bible as their main reference point from which they slide into all non-verifiable noize which scares the dickens out of the weak minded and fearful. Okay, let's use the bible then.
In Matthew chapter 24, Jesus/Yeshua explains varying things which detail the run-up to the mess of the end of this age. But, he also leaves a clear time marker, which it seems every single video producer, writer, and preacher ignores out of hand. He says clear and I quote,
Matt 24:14/15 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoke of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place...
Okay. Here He gives a time marker, the only one in Matthew that is definitive. The abomination of desolation in the holy place as foretold by Daniel and also in Revelations, btw, is when the anti-Christ stands in the 3rd Temple (where the dome of the rock is now in Jerusalem) and proclaims himself the returned Christ. Flat-out, he's saying that the end time tribulations (which you can actually get detail on that by reading revelations) is when to expect the mess the world is calling the end times. Has that happened yet? Of course not.
Let's look at Revelations for a moment, shall we. In it, we find a document that explains, on chronological order, what the world can expect as these things go by. You have the seals, the trumpets, bowels, along with other celestial events interspersed and so on. A simple reading of it quite clearly delineates an orderly sequence of events. Now, we've been inundated for hundreds of years, each generation screaming at the top of their longs that their generation is the end of the world. Especially during world war II.
But wait a moment there. As we proceed through the breaking of the seals, what do we find. That on Seal Six, there is a great worldwide earthquake that levels mountains and moves islands from their places. Wow, that's some event, I think we would all agree. Has it happened yet? Obviously it has not happened in the last two thousand years. An event like that would be a major blow to every land of the world, throwing it back decades and laying waste to well...the whole planet.
Yet, our culture is being hypnotized and programmed to believe that already we are in chapter 18 or 12, or 22 of Revelations or some such nonsense. If anything can be said about revelations, it's quite clearly a chronological roadmap, one foot before the other, one event after the other. However, the dark side is using every lie possible to get people to believe that we are already in varying places all over the place, without ever once mentioning the sequential order of that document. You'd think this obvious reality would be common chat among those end times writers making a fortune on talk shows, with their books, and doing videos. Nope. Not a peep. It's amazing how many preachers, pastors, priests, and the like go on and one about this end times that or whatever, without ever considering or even giving mention to the roadmap. And you can't have it both ways. You can't say on one section its a literal thing, and then change to another page and say its vague. It's either one way or the other.
Because it's all about the fear, friends. Keep you fearful and reactive, and therefore, under their control. As long as you function in a state of fear, you have given over control of your life (both inner and outer) and handed it over to total strangers who look at you with contempt.
The other two devices being deployed as reasons for keeping up the scare are Nostradamus and the Mayan Calendar.
On one hand they have vague quatrains which are so very vague that you have their fear shills out doing the same thing and on the other, you have a calendar that resets at 2012. Okay, so it resets. But what does that have to do with the End Times. They've got their devils out with nice suits and speaking all earnestly about how on 2012, we're all going to die. Right...
And here is the problem. People just believe what they are told, and if they can get enough network sanctioned "scholars" to push home the point, they must be telling the truth, right? Ten people telling you the sky is red doesn't make it so. Do your own thinking. Look past the fear paradigms and see reality for what is really is.
More on this later.
