The guy who’s house blew up in Washington DC this week was involved in spying using undersea telecom cables. A house in Virginia exploded (OP's webm) and there were many weird things about the incident and person involved (James Yoo). according to this thread, James Yoo was involved with a company called Global Crossings which, back in the late 90s, started building undersea fibre optic/internet cables that form the backbone of the global internet's infrastructure. the OP alleges Global Crossings was a glowie front and that they were setting up massive spy networks as they were building these cables. it seems as though money has now changed hands or the rules of the game have changed or WHATEVER, but people involved with this stuff are apparently now dying mysteriously. the licensing, leasing and usage of broadband channels seems to be involved somehow as well. OP says it's a market valued in the 10s of trillions, so there's certainly a financial incentive here.
