glorious, shining with light and promise, and freedom...
after enough time, she becomes a bloody whore...
who will sleep with anyone blind enough to believe...
finally, if you stay in long enough through commitment, fear, knowing no way out...
you see her as she really is...

That's how it was in the US civil war. 1861, rebellion was a goddess shining up all whom bent a knee to her.
By '63, a bloody whore whom only delivered death daily and in abundance.
By '65, it was clear to all, believer or no, that the goddess was in fact, the Angel of Death and always was. It is Lucifer who is the true angel of death. For his shine is rebellion and those whom stupidly worship at his altar.
