Daniel Penny, a 26-year-old Marine veteran and true hero, is on trial for saving countless lives on a New York subway. He’s being charged for the death of Jordan Neely, a violent, mentally unstable 30-year-old homeless man who was ready to attack when Penny stepped in to restrain him. During the altercation, Neely died.

And yes, if you guessed the suspect was black, you’d be right. The victim was of course an elderly white man, but who the heck cares about that guy? He already lived his life, right?
