This last week, I had to travel over a great many highways and freeways in Southern California. On every road, I discovered the roads blocked with cones and full lanes blocked for...nothing. In many instances, there were no workers or anything going on, as it was on highway 58. On Highway 138 they blocked BOTH lanes of that main east west line, with a half mile of cones for what? NOTHING. Nothing at all. Every single highway and freeway. Sometimes its just for cleaning a shoulder...but blocked for miles, four lanes turned into one lane. On one road, the 126, there was a fender bender that could have easily been moved off the road in minutes; they left it there for hours, as they did on Interstate 5.
And they are still doing it. I did a search each day, each county, and found as you see below. This is just LA county.
