volcanoes at La Palma

I was thinking earlier of the old days for some reason.

A weekend hotel on the beach. With the mother of my sons, before she became their mother. Lobster and scallops on the pier, bide ride along the beach all day and abouts town. Then a relaxed evening by a fireplace going off in the lobby, with strawberry daiquiris.

That was a good day.

Why can't we have that day, over and over and over again...

Could be any town, somewhere with a beach. That time it was Santa Barbara, CA.

Been a long time, it seems. Being celibate for 2 decades...you miss some things and for the right reasons, too. The fellowship was the thing, in beauty. That it was with a woman I was in love with was just the icing on a very happy cake.

Now we are in the wilderness...seeking our way through, having exodused from Babylon.

And they don't make it easy, that's for sure.

The sentimental Dork.
