Mississippi became the latest state to tighten its civil forfeiture laws when Gov. Phil Bryant signed a bill on Monday that will require warrants for police to seize property.
FINALLY
Mississippi became the latest state to tighten its civil forfeiture laws when Gov. Phil Bryant signed a
bill on Monday that will require warrants for police to seize property.
Through civil forfeiture, law enforcement agencies do not need to file
criminal charges, or even secure a criminal conviction, to permanently
confiscate cash, cars and other forms of personal property.
Under the newly signed bill, HB 812, whenever
an agency seizes property, it must obtain a seizure warrant from a
circuit or county court within three business days of the seizure.
Agencies that do not procure a warrant with that timeframe cannot
forfeit the property and must return it to its owner. In addition,
agencies now will have to request prosecutors file for forfeiture within
30 days of a seizure.
Most
importantly, HB 812 implements new transparency requirements to track
seizure and forfeiture activity. For the first time, Mississippi
agencies will now have to record a description of the seized property,
its estimated value, its final deposition, as well as if anyone
attempted to contest the forfeiture. Those records will then be uploaded
to a public, searchable website, which will be created and maintained
by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. Agencies that do not comply with
the new reporting requirements will not receive state or federal
grants.
“HB
812 will hopefully inform the public about how often law enforcement
seizes and forfeits property,” Lee McGrath, Senior Legislative Counsel
at the Institute for Justice (IJ) said in a statement.
“Equally
important, the bill will produce data on which state legislators may
rely to make additional reforms to a civil process that has come under
widespread criticism, including from U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence
Thomas,” McGrath added.
Previous investigations paint a worrying picture. An extensive report by The Washington Post into
a federal forfeiture program known as equitable sharing found that
Mississippi law enforcement conducted nearly 400 cash seizures “without
warrants or indictments.” Through that same federal program, Mississippi
police and prosecutors collected $47 million in forfeiture revenue from
the U.S. Department of Justice, according to a report by the Institute for Justice.
In January, Reason magazine
uncovered “strange and petty seizures by police” in Mississippi,
including cases where law enforcement confiscated car batteries, a comic
book collection, garden hoses, a horse saddle, and even had a white
couch forfeited to a sheriff’s office. (“The whereabouts of the couch
remain unknown.”) Their investigation also revealed that the Mississippi
Bureau of Narcotics had seized almost $4 million in cash, just in
2015, with the median seizure just under $13,000.
Later that month, Mississippi received failing grades from
IJ for its utter lack of transparency and accountability. Yet the new
law does not require transparency for how police and prosecutors spend
forfeiture funds.
“Mississippi’s
failure to account for spending from forfeiture funds is particularly
troubling,” said Jennifer McDonald, a IJ research analyst. “With
forfeiture, law enforcement agencies can keep some or all of the
proceeds from the property they take. This enables them to generate and
spend funds outside the normal appropriations process, which undermines
the legislature’s power of the purse. At a bare minimum, agencies should
have to publicly report how they spend forfeiture proceeds.”
Most infamously, police in Richland (which has barely 7,000 residents) funded a
“$4.1 million police station, a top-level training center and a fleet
of black-and-white Dodge Charger police cars” entirely through civil
forfeiture.
Reforming civil forfeiture was remarkably popular, both with citizens and legislators. A poll last
year found 88 percent of registered voters oppose forfeiting property
without a criminal conviction. In the legislature, HB 812 was approved
by wide margins, passing the House of Representatives by 118 to 3 and
the state Senate unanimously. Mississippi is now the third state this
year and the 19th state since 2014 to have passed civil forfeiture reform.

Idaho House Votes Overwhelmingly To End Income Taxation Of Precious Metals
Authored by Stefan Gleason via Money Metals Exchange,
By an overwhelming 56-13 margin, the Idaho House of Representatives today voted to end all Idaho taxation on precious metals, e.g. gold and silver coins and bars.
Bill sponsor Representative Mike Moyle (R) and the entire Republican caucus voted for the measure. If the Republican-controlled Idaho Senate follows suit and Governor Butch Otter (R) signs the bill, Idaho citizens will better be able to use gold and silver as a form of savings which protects against ongoing devaluation of America’s currency.
Backed by the Sound Money Defense League, Idaho Freedom Foundation, Money Metals Exchange, and grassroots activists, HB 206 expands Idaho’s existing sales tax exemption to end Idaho income taxation of sales of “precious metals bullion” and “monetized bullion.”
Under current law, the taxpayer who sells their precious metals may
end up with a capital “gain” in terms of Federal Reserve Notes –
commonly referred to as “dollars.” This capital ‘gain’ is not necessarily a real gain. It’s often a nominal gain
that simply results from the inflation created by the Federal Reserve
and the attendant decline in the dollar’s purchasing power. Yet this
nominal gain is taxed at the federal level – and taxed again by Idaho.
Under HB 206, precious metals gains and losses reported on a taxpayer’s federal income tax return would be removed from the calculation of the taxpayer’s Idaho taxable income.
Legislators in Utah and Oklahoma have already enacted similar income tax measures and Arizona may enact its own version of HB206 in the new few weeks. Other states such as Tennessee, Maine, and Alabama are working to remove precious metals from the sales tax – just like Idaho and over 20 states have already done.

“According to the U.S. Constitution, Article I, Section 10, there is only one thing that a state can declare as currency if they think that our federal currency is going out of whack and some might argue that they think our federal currency is going out of whack already,” said Representative Ron Nate (R) from the House floor.
“If we are not going to allow people to declare capital losses on their Federal Reserve Notes or their dollar holdings, it would also be unfair to tax people for their gold and silver holdings. Gold and silver is an alternative to holding Federal Reserve Notes and it is the ONLY alternative that the U.S. Constitution says that the state can allow as another currency. It’s unfair to tax it just as [it’s unfair] to tax losses on Federal Reserve Notes” continued Rep. Nate.
Under HB 206, precious metals gains and losses reported on a taxpayer’s federal income tax return would be removed from the calculation of the taxpayer’s Idaho taxable income.
“Policies that discourage precious metals ownership reduce the likelihood that Gem State citizens will take prudent steps to insulate themselves from the inflation and financial turmoil caused by the Federal Reserve System,” said Stefan Gleason, director of the Sound Money Defense League. “Precious metals bullion is already exempt from Idaho’s sales tax. HB 206 removes the final disincentive in Idaho tax law that stands against ownership of the monetary metals.”States are taking actions to defend sound money because the monetary system in America, largely run by the Federal Reserve, has dramatically undermined the purchasing power of the currency to the detriment of savers and wage-earners in particular.

CIA malware targets iPhone, Android, smart TVs
CIA malware and hacking tools are built by EDG (Engineering Development Group),
a software development group within CCI (Center for Cyber Intelligence), a department
belonging to the CIA's DDI (Directorate for Digital Innovation). The DDI is one of
the five major directorates of the CIA (see this
organizational chart of the CIA for more details).
The EDG is responsible for the development, testing and operational support of all backdoors, exploits, malicious payloads, trojans, viruses and any other kind of malware used by the CIA in its covert operations world-wide.
The increasing sophistication of surveillance techniques has drawn comparisons with George Orwell's 1984, but "Weeping Angel", developed by the CIA's Embedded Devices Branch (EDB), which infests smart TVs, transforming them into covert microphones, is surely its most emblematic realization.
The attack against Samsung smart TVs was developed in cooperation with the United Kingdom's MI5/BTSS. After infestation, Weeping Angel places the target TV in a 'Fake-Off' mode, so that the owner falsely believes the TV is off when it is on. In 'Fake-Off' mode the TV operates as a bug, recording conversations in the room and sending them over the Internet to a covert CIA server.
As of October 2014 the CIA was also looking at infecting the vehicle control systems used by modern cars and trucks. The purpose of such control is not specified, but it would permit the CIA to engage in nearly undetectable assassinations.
The CIA's Mobile Devices Branch (MDB) developed numerous attacks to remotely hack and control popular smart phones. Infected phones can be instructed to send the CIA the user's geolocation, audio and text communications as well as covertly activate the phone's camera and microphone.
Despite iPhone's minority share (14.5%) of the global smart phone market in 2016, a specialized unit in the CIA's Mobile Development Branch produces malware to infest, control and exfiltrate data from iPhones and other Apple products running iOS, such as iPads. CIA's arsenal includes numerous local and remote "zero days" developed by CIA or obtained from GCHQ, NSA, FBI or purchased from cyber arms contractors such as Baitshop. The disproportionate focus on iOS may be explained by the popularity of the iPhone among social, political, diplomatic and business elites.
A similar unit targets Google's Android which is used to run the majority of the world's smart phones (~85%) including Samsung, HTC and Sony. 1.15 billion Android powered phones were sold last year. "Year Zero" shows that as of 2016 the CIA had 24 "weaponized" Android "zero days" which it has developed itself and obtained from GCHQ, NSA and cyber arms contractors.
These techniques permit the CIA to bypass the encryption of WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Wiebo, Confide and Cloackman by hacking the "smart" phones that they run on and collecting audio and message traffic before encryption is applied.
Many of these infection efforts are pulled together by the CIA's Automated Implant Branch (AIB), which has developed several attack systems for automated infestation and control of CIA malware, such as "Assassin" and "Medusa".
Attacks against Internet infrastructure and webservers are developed by the CIA's Network Devices Branch (NDB).
The CIA has developed automated multi-platform malware attack and control systems covering Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris, Linux and more, such as EDB's "HIVE" and the related "Cutthroat" and "Swindle" tools, which are described in the examples section below.
Serious vulnerabilities not disclosed to the manufacturers places huge swathes of the population and critical infrastructure at risk to foreign intelligence or cyber criminals who independently discover or hear rumors of the vulnerability. If the CIA can discover such vulnerabilities so can others.
The U.S. government's commitment to the Vulnerabilities Equities Process came after significant lobbying by US technology companies, who risk losing their share of the global market over real and perceived hidden vulnerabilities. The government stated that it would disclose all pervasive vulnerabilities discovered after 2010 on an ongoing basis.
"Year Zero" documents show that the CIA breached the Obama administration's commitments. Many of the vulnerabilities used in the CIA's cyber arsenal are pervasive and some may already have been found by rival intelligence agencies or cyber criminals.
As an example, specific CIA malware revealed in "Year Zero" is able to penetrate, infest and control both the Android phone and iPhone software that runs or has run presidential Twitter accounts. The CIA attacks this software by using undisclosed security vulnerabilities ("zero days") possessed by the CIA but if the CIA can hack these phones then so can everyone else who has obtained or discovered the vulnerability. As long as the CIA keeps these vulnerabilities concealed from Apple and Google (who make the phones) they will not be fixed, and the phones will remain hackable.
The same vulnerabilities exist for the population at large, including the U.S. Cabinet, Congress, top CEOs, system administrators, security officers and engineers. By hiding these security flaws from manufacturers like Apple and Google the CIA ensures that it can hack everyone &mdsh; at the expense of leaving everyone hackable.

CIA 'hoarded' vulnerabilities ("zero days")
In the wake of Edward Snowden's leaks about the NSA, the U.S. technology industry secured a commitment from the Obama administration that the executive would disclose on an ongoing basis — rather than hoard — serious vulnerabilities, exploits, bugs or "zero days" to Apple, Google, Microsoft, and other US-based manufacturers.Serious vulnerabilities not disclosed to the manufacturers places huge swathes of the population and critical infrastructure at risk to foreign intelligence or cyber criminals who independently discover or hear rumors of the vulnerability. phone charger' that can steal your passwords

A hacker has created a rather terrifying smart box
shaped just like a mobile phone charger, which can keep tabs on you and
surreptitiously steal your data.
To many people, the word 'hacker' is synonymous with a lawless
computer nerd who wishes to ruin someone's day by stealing and causing
harm. The good guys, who actually want to point out potential
vulnerabilities in existing systems or create cool things, sadly seldom
get a look in.One guy who's been on both sides of that particular divide is Samy Kamar, a man who describes himself as a 'privacy and security researcher, computer hacker, whistleblower and entrepreneur'. Of course, he's most likely to be described by others as 'the bloke that created the Samy worm, which hit Myspace and pissed off loads of people back in 2006'.
Samy has been keeping himself busy the past nine years, and his most recent creation is a device which looks like a simple phone charger but is actually much more terrifying. The device, dubbed 'The KeySweeper', sits innocently in a plug socket or a desk drawer, intercepting keystrokes from wireless keyboards and feeding them back to whomever planted the device in the first place.
The KeySweeper will sniff-out keystrokes as they're typed, as well as being able to home in on specific data – for instance, if you type in particular web addresses (such as Paypal.com), the KeySweeper knows that the next thing you type is likely to be a user name and password. The evil little bugger then earmarks the data for later analysis. The info can be stored on the KeySweeper itself and then extracted via USB, or even sent directly to the person spying via SMS.
Thankfully these devices aren't capable of sniffing data from every wireless keyboard. The main types which are vulnerable are ones which still utilise 2.4GHz wireless rather than Bluetooth, such as Microsoft’s wireless keyboards.
While Microsoft claims that it hasn't produced keyboards using this connection method since 2011, Kamar released a statement suggesting that people may still not be protected from potential surveillance.
He said: “Just wanted to mention — while Microsoft states it only affects keyboards before 2011, the vulnerable keyboards are *still* being manufactured and sold today, even from Microsoft’s own web site and major retailers like Best Buy. I purchased the vulnerable keyboard brand new from Best Buy just last month, and the date next to the serial number says ‘07/2014’.”
As a blessed relief, Kamar isn't actually selling the nefarious sniffer devices, but he has released instructions online showing just how easily they can be made. The hope of course is that these blueprints will force Microsoft, and other manufacturers, to close what could be a potentially huge security hole.
Kamar also advises that people who don't have a sound working knowledge of electrical gubbins to refrain from attempting to build their own KeySweeper, but we can't see this being much of a deterrent to the criminal faction who'd happily steal data from random strangers.
For a full overview of the project, take a look here.
PETA Killed 1,411 Cats And Dogs In 2016, Only Got 57 Adopted
The animal rights activist group, People for the Ethical Treatment
of Animals (PETA), euthanized 1,411 cats and dogs last year, while only
57 were adopted.
The animals rights group euthanized 1,428 animals and transferred 482 to other shelters last year, according to a report by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS). Of the 2,007 animals acquired by PETA last year, the group only returned ten dogs and cats to their owners and successfully placed only 57 with adopting families.
On the other hand, PETA put down 557 dogs, 854 cats and 17 other companion animals.
The additional animals euthanized last year brought PETA’s death toll to over 36,000 since 1998. Most of the animals put down were processed at PETA’s headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia. PETA’s official blog states that killing dogs and cats, helps them “escape an uncaring world without trauma or pain.”
Last November, two PETA employees stole a family’s pet Chihuahua

Illegal border crossings drop 40 PER CENT in Trump's first full month as president: Homeland Security says it's the lowest total in nearly five years
- In January DHS apprehended 31,578 people sneaking across America's southern border; that number was just 18,762 in February
- Dramatic shift came as Donald Trump had his first full month in the White House
- The government typically sees a 10 to 20 per cent increase between January and February
- Immigration detention centers in Texas have hundreds of empty beds

When Whistleblowers Tell The Truth They're Traitors. When Government Lies It's Politics
Via Carey Wedler via TheAntiMedia.org,
Immediately after Wikileaks released thousands of documents revealing the extent of CIA surveillance and hacking practices, the government was calling for an investigation - not into why the CIA has amassed so much power, but rather, into who exposed their invasive policies.
So goes the familiar whistleblower narrative in the United States. Whistleblowers step forward to expose wrongdoing on the part of government — something the government claims to support — and immediately, establishment institutions and the media bend the conversation away from the wrongdoing in order to focus on the unlawful release of secrets.
Putting aside the fact that, according to popular American mythology breaking the law is a patriotic duty, the government and politicians’ reactions are both hypocritical and habitual.
When Chelsea Manning revealed damning evidence of U.S. war crimes in Iraq, including soldiers directly targeting Reuters news staff, the response was not to investigate who allowed those crimes (in fact, a later Pentagon manual went on to describe instances in which it’s permissible to kill journalists; that version was later retracted after outcry from reporters). Rather, Manning was subject to a military tribunal and issued multiple life sentences, a cruel and unusual punishment reversed only in President Obama’s last days in office amid his attempts to salvage his abysmal human rights, transparency, and whistleblower record.
When Edward Snowden revealed the extent of the NSA’s warrantless mass surveillance of American citizens and millions of others around the world, the government’s response was not to investigate why those programs existed in the first place. Rather, they thrashed and flailed around the world, ordering the plane of Bolivian President Evo Morales to be grounded in the hopes of catching the whistleblower. Congress later passed the deceptive “USA Freedom Act,” which codified continued surveillance.
Edward Snowden remains in exile, and establishment politicians repeatedly call him a traitor for exposing the crimes of his government. Some, including Trump’s CIA Director Mike Pompeo, have called for his execution. Mass surveillance continues, and the president himself is seeking to retain those powers as he condemns former President Obama for allegedly spying on him.
And so on and so forth. The same was true for John Kiriakou, Thomas Drake, William Binney, and Jeffrey Sterling. The government is exposed for wrongdoing, and rather than prove themselves to be representatives of the people by remedying those transgressions, they point fingers and divert, all the while refusing to relinquish the unjust power any given agency is exposed for having.
Many people are already aware that the government does little to actually serve them (Americans’ trust in political leaders and government, in general, is abysmally low). Rather, government agents and agencies operate to advance and concentrate their own interests and power. This is why penalties against killing government employees are more stringent than killing civilians. It is why stealing from the government is perceived as more outrageous to the State than stealing from a civilian. The government considers “crimes” committed against itself to carry the utmost offense, yet often fails to deliver justice to the people who provide their financial foundation.
As a result, the State does not even try to show remorse for its violative policies, even when they are exposed and splattered across social media for the world to see. Instead, with the help of corporate media, the debate is shifted to whether or not WikiLeaks is a criminal organization, or whether or not Edward Snowden is a traitor.
As White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said of the leaks:
Immediately after Wikileaks released thousands of documents revealing the extent of CIA surveillance and hacking practices, the government was calling for an investigation - not into why the CIA has amassed so much power, but rather, into who exposed their invasive policies.
“A federal criminal investigation is being opened into WikiLeaks’ publication of documents detailing alleged CIA hacking operations, several US officials,” reportedly told CNN.According to USA Today:
“The inquiry, the official said, will seek to determine whether the disclosure represented a breach from the outside or a leak from inside the organization. A separate review will attempt to assess the damage caused by such a disclosure, the official said.”Even Democratic representative Ted Lieu, who has been urging whistleblowers to come forward to expose wrongdoing within the Trump administration, has turned his focus away from what the documents exposed and toward determining how it could have possibly happened.
“I am deeply disturbed by the allegation that the CIA lost its arsenal of hacking tools,” he said while calling for an investigation. “The ramifications could be devastating. I am calling for an immediate congressional investigation. We need to know if the CIA lost control of its hacking tools, who may have those tools, and how do we now protect the privacy of Americans.”According to Lieu’s statements, the problem isn’t necessarily that the CIA is spying on Americans and invading innocent people’s technology without consent. It’s that the CIA mishandled their spying tools, and in doing so, endangered Americans’ privacy by exposing the tools to presumably ‘bad actors.’ The problem isn’t the corrupt agency violating basic privacy rights, but that they weren’t skillful enough to keep their corruption under wraps.

As White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said of the leaks:
“This is the kind of disclosure that undermines our country, our security. This alleged leak should concern every American for its impact on national security. … Anybody who leaks classified information will be held accountable to the maximum extent of the law.”Meanwhile, we’re supposed to accept the government’s investigation of itself, which (surprise!) usually finds little or no wrongdoing on their own behalf and often consolidates and extends the very same power whistleblowers exposed in the first place.

Why Trump Wants To Keep Andrew Jackson On The $20 Bill (And His Opponents Are Fiercely Opposed)
Via Valentin Katasonov of The Strategic Culture Foundation,

It is no secret that America is governed by the US Federal Reserve System. The Federal Reserve’s main shareholders are in charge of the money and so are also in charge of America. To strengthen and maintain their power, these money bosses need ‘their own’ story. And that is why they are rewriting history – not just in textbooks and Hollywood films, but on banknotes too. Over the past century, America’s history has been well ‘edited’ on the country’s banknotes and their design has been changed more than once.
It seems that the money bosses have no intention of stopping this practice. In April 2016, America’s then treasury secretary, Jacob Lew, announced that the country’s $5, $10 and $20 bills would have a new design by 2020. Lew made it seem as if the Treasury Department’s plans to redesign the banknotes were ‘the voice of the people’ rather than a whim of the authorities. According to the US Treasury Department, groups of activists on social networking sites had started calling for the country’s banknotes to feature prominent American women and well-known figures from ethnic minorities. The list of suggestions included First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt; Rosa Parks, who began the black civil rights movement; Wilma Mankiller, the first female chief of the Cherokee Nation; the Afro-American activist Harriet Tubman; and many others. The Treasury Department said nothing about how the suggestions were gathered and selected, however, or about the Women on 20s campaign group, which came from nowhere.
The Treasury Department’s plans to replace seventh US President Andrew Jackson with the little-known activist Harriet Tubman came as a real shock to many Americans. Many on social media said that the new banknote would be the «ugliest» in US history. Donald Trump, who at that point was still a presidential candidate, also responded in defence of the seventh president of the United States. «Andrew Jackson has a great history, and it seems rough to take someone off the bill,» said Trump during an interview with NBC in April 2016.
When Trump moved into the White House on 20 January, he immediately hung a portrait of Andrew Jackson in the Oval Office. The current US president has made no secret of the fact that the seventh US president is both his role model and his idol. Trump’s chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, has repeatedly compared Trump to Jackson. After the new president’s inauguration, for example, Bannon said: «I don’t think we’ve had a speech like that since Andrew Jackson came to the White House». Commenting on the unprecedentedly savage response of many media outlets, NGOs and business groups to his arrival in the White House, meanwhile, Trump himself noted that «there hasn’t been anything like this [in America] since Andrew Jackson».
For those currently trying to obstruct Donald Trump, he and Andrew Jackson are equally objectionable. In fact, everything possible is being done so that the average American does not even know who President Jackson is. They are willing to put anybody’s portrait on the $20 bill as long as it erases the memory of the seventh US president from Americans’ minds.
Andrew Jackson (1767-1845), elected from the Democratic Party (he is regarded as one of its founders), was US president from 1829 to 1837. He might have become president even earlier: in the 1824 elections, he won the majority of votes from both the electors and the electoral colleges, but he did not receive an electoral majority. The president was therefore chosen by the House of Representatives, which chose John Quincy Adams rather than Jackson. In the 1828 elections, Jackson’s campaign agenda, aimed at liberating America from the stranglehold of bankers, was crystal clear. At this time, the Second Bank of the United States, which was essentially a central bank, was in operation in America. It was a project of European bankers, primarily the Rothschilds. The bank managed to obtain a 20-year charter from the US Congress in 1816 and began lending money to the US government, leading to a rapid rise in government debt. Jackson’s slogan in the 1828 elections was: «No bank and Jackson – or bank and no Jackson». Jackson openly declared war on the banks and won. He became US president and started a campaign to revoke the charter of the Second Bank of the United States. In 1831, Nicholas Biddle, the bank’s president, sent a bill to Congress to extend the bank’s charter. The bill was passed by both houses of Congress, but Andrew Jackson vetoed the bill, which Congress was unable to override. On 10 July 1832, Jackson spoke of the dangers of a central bank: «It is not our own citizens only who are to receive the bounty of our Government. More than eight millions of the stock of this bank are held by foreigners [...] Is there no danger to our liberty and independence in a bank that in its nature has so little to bind it to our country? [...] Controlling our currency, receiving our public moneys, and holding thousands of our citizens in dependence, it would be more formidable and dangerous than the naval and military power of the enemy».
By 1833, the volume of banknotes and deposits issued by the Second Bank had risen to $42.1 million, a huge sum at that time, and Andrew Jackson tore down the whole structure. In 1833, he moved government funds from the Second Bank to a number of commercial US banks. Even more surprisingly, by the end of his presidency, Andrew Jackson had managed to completely eliminate the national debt. This seems inconceivable at a time when the level of US national debt is set to reach the $20 trillion mark any day now. There were a number of assassination attempts on Jackson and he was even shot at, but he died of natural causes. Before his death, he was asked what he regarded as his greatest achievement. Without hesitation, Andrew Jackson replied: «I killed the bank».
I am sure that Donald Trump has a good understanding of all the nuances of Andrew Jackson’s presidency and knows that the US Federal Reserve System is essentially the same as a central bank. After Jackson, America survived for eighty years without a central bank. The Federal Reserve System was not created by the US Congress until the end of 1913, but more than one hundred years have passed since then. The money bosses have been in control of America for a long time. They hate Andrew Jackson, while Donald Trump is openly admiring of him. I think he knows he will not be able to repeat Andrew Jackson’s feat of eliminating the central bank, the balance of power is too unequal, but he does intend to fight back. In particular, he is going to try and reduce the national debt. Reducing the national debt to zero (as Andrew Jackson did) is a utopian dream, but Trump has repeatedly talked about slowing its growth or even carrying out a partial restructuring. This will also be difficult for him to achieve, however, since the money bosses need the Fed’s printing press to be in demand. And it is the US Treasury Department that is ensuring this demand by selling its debt securities for dollars.
Maybe, at the very least, Trump will manage to keep Andrew Jackson’s portrait on the $20 bill? We’ll see.

the CIA can and has hacked devices that were supposedly secure– iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.
Yesterday Wikileaks released 8,761 CIA documents detailing the agency’s hacking of smart phones, routers, computers, and even televisions.
Via Simon Black of SovereignMan.com,
These files reveal that the CIA can and has hacked devices that were supposedly secure– iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.
The documents further reveal that the CIA is deliberately infecting personal computers with spyware, including Windows, Mac OS/X, Solaris, Linux, and other operating systems.
They’re also hacking WiFi routers to deploy software that monitors Internet activity, and have even figured out how to bypass anti-virus software so that their spyware cannot be detected.
They’ve also managed to make the rest of the world believe that Russian hackers, not the CIA, are behind all this malware and spyware.
It’s like a restatement of that old Mission: Impossible line– “Should any of your IM force be caught or killed… we’ll blame Russia.”
The CIA is pretty shameless about its activities, nicknaming its various hacking programs “Assassin”, “Medusa”, and “Brutal Kangaroo”.
One of the deepest revelations is that the agency is able to hack Internet-connected televisions, including Samsung smart TVs, through a program called “Weeping Angel”.
Basically the CIA can turn your TV into a listening device, recording conversations in the room and transmitting the audio to a CIA server.
Even if you think the TV is off, it’s not.
CIA hackers have been able to spoof the on/off display and set the television to a “false off” mode.
Bottom line, no device that’s connected to the outside world is truly safe.
And future Wikileaks publications may show that the intelligence community is hacking home automation devices, Internet-connected automobiles (including driverless vehicles), and artificial intelligence like Amazon’s Alexa.
It’s hard to be shocked at this point that the government is spying on its own allies and citizens.
This is just the latest in a pattern of brazen surveillance and flagrant Constitutional violations on the part of the US intelligence community.
But that’s precisely what I find MOST concerning - the LACK of concern over these new CIA documents.
People have such a low expectation of their government now, and have become so accustomed to the government routinely violating their civil liberties, that there’s hardly any public outrage anymore about these spying scandals.
More importantly, the lack of concern is indicative of what freedom means in the Land of the Free today.
Here’s a great example–
Young people are traditionally the most politically charged activists in the country.
But where are the protests across university campuses demanding freedom and privacy?
It’s not happening.
That’s because university students are too busy protesting against ideas they don’t want to hear about.
At Middlebury College last week, a small liberal arts school in Vermont, a small mob of student protestors physically assaulted a conservative speaker because his ideas offended them.
They couldn’t simply skip the lecture and allow interested students to attend.
No, they had to engage in violent censorship, oppressing any idea that doesn’t conform to their narrow agenda.
The only thing these cry bullies are interested in hearing is apologetic white men groveling over their privilege.
This is the new reality in the Land of the Free: freedom has deteriorated into some gender studies professor’s socialist fantasy.
Constitutionally guaranteed liberties have become irrelevant.
Forget about “free speech”.
Any intellectual dissent from the intolerant Social Justice view is now considered “hate speech”.
And the Fourth Amendment, which establishes “the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures,” has become a distant memory.
As a child who grew up in the 80s during the height of the Cold War, I imagine there would have been widespread disgust if a similar scandal had been exposed.
Spying on citizens and allies? That’s what the Soviet Union did.
But today, everything else is more important.
Transgender bathrooms. Silencing hate speech. Forcing elementary school children to feel guilty about their white privilege. Political correctness in extremis. #everyone-else-but-white-people’s-lives-matter.
This is what dominates the social conversation now in the Land of the Free.
Privacy is no longer a Western value.
After all, people narcissistically upload their entire lives to social media (as if anyone cares what they’re having for dinner) so that Mark Zuckerberg can auction off our details to the highest bidder.
And it is precisely this decline that I find most disturbing.
Some people hold the idiotic belief that, “If I have nothing to hide, I have nothing to fear.”
This is dangerous logic, for so many reasons.
Even the use of the word ‘hide’ is ridiculous… as if the fact that I don’t upload photos of my nether regions to Instagram means that I’m “hiding” something.
We all keep things private. It’s why we wear clothing, don’t discuss our personal finances in polite company, and worry when our social security number is stolen.
But more importantly, if it doesn’t matter that the CIA is monitoring people’s most intimate moments, then does anything matter?
They keep moving the line, probing deeper and deeper into our lives and enveloping the nation inside an Orwellian surveillance state.
And it doesn’t stop… because we’re in the midst of a complete breakdown of western values.
The Left and MSM is mostly silent about this new information and verified documents...tells you alot about what's behind all this snowflake migrant crap.

Last Article Written by Michael Hastings Before his Murder by car hack
Before his death Michael Hastings wrote the following article called “Why Democrats Love To Spy On Americans”.
For most bigwig Democrats in Washington, D.C., the last 48 hours has delivered news of the worst kind — a flood of new information that has washed away any lingering doubts about where President Obama and his party stand on civil liberties, full stop.
Glenn Greenwald’s exposure of the NSA’s massive domestic spy program has revealed the entire caste of current Democratic leaders as a gang of civil liberty opportunists, whose true passion, it seems, was in trolling George W. Bush for eight years on matters of national security.
“Everyone should just calm down,” Senator Harry Reid said yesterday, inhaling slowly.
That’s right: don’t panic.
The very topic of Democratic two-facedness on civil liberties is one of the most important issues that Greenwald has covered. Many of those Dems — including the sitting President Barack Obama, Senator Carl Levin, and Sec. State John Kerry — have now become the stewards and enhancers of programs that appear to dwarf any of the spying scandals that broke during the Bush years, the very same scandals they used as wedge issues to win elections in the Congressional elections 2006 and the presidential primary of 2007-2008.
Recall what Senator Levin told CNN in 2005, demanding to “urgently hold an inquiry” into what was supposedly President Bush’s domestic wiretap program.
Levin continued, at length: “It means that there’s some growing concern on Capitol Hill about a program which seems to be so totally unauthorized and unexplained…The president wraps himself in the law, saying that it is totally legal, but he doesn’t give what the legal basis is for this. He avoided using the law, which we provided to the president, where even when there is an emergency and there’s a need for urgent action can first tap the wire and then go to a court.”
There are two notable exception to this rule are Senator Ron Wyden, from Oregon, and Sen. Mark Udall from Colorado, who had seemed to be fighting a largely lonely, frustrating battle against Obama’s national security state.
As Mark Udall told the Denver Post yesterday: “[I] did everything short of leaking classified information” to stop it.
His ally in Oregon, Ron Wyden, was one of the first to seize on the Guardian’s news break: “I will tell you from a policy standpoint, when a law-abiding citizen makes a call, they expect that who they call, when they call and where they call from will be kept private,” Wyden said to Politico, noting “there’s going to be a big debate about this.” The Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, admitted he’d mislead Senator Wyden at a hearing earlier this year, revising his statement yesterday to state that the NSA didn’t do “voyerustic” surveillance.
The state of affairs, in other words, is so grave that two sitting Senators went as close as they could to violating their unconstitutional security oaths in order to warn the country of information that otherwise would not have been declassified until April of 2038, according to the Verizon court order obtained by Greenwald.
Now, we’re about to see if the Obama administration’s version of the national security state will begin to eat itself.
Unsurprisingly, the White House has dug in, calling their North Korea-esque tools “essential” to stop terrorism, and loathe to give up the political edge they’ve seized for Democrats on national security issues under Obama’s leadership. The AP spying scandal — which the administration attempted to downplay at the time, even appointing Eric Holder to lead his own investigation into himself —was one of the unexpected consequences of one of two leak investigations that Obama ordered during the 2012 campaign.
It’s unclear where a possible third leak investigation would lead. However, judging by the DOJ’s and FBI’s recent history, it would seem that any new leak case would involve obtaining the phone records of reporters at the Guardian, the Washington Post, employees at various agencies who would have had access to the leaked material, as well as politicians and staffers in Congress—records, we now can safely posit, they already have unchecked and full access to.
In short: any so-called credible DOJ/FBI leak investigation, by its very nature, would have to involve the Obama administration invasively using the very surveillance and data techniques it is attempting to hide in order to snoop on a few Democratic Senators and more media outlets, including one based overseas.
Outside of Washington, D.C., the frustration that Wyden and Udall have felt has been exponentially magnified. Transparency supporters, whistleblowers, and investigative reporters, especially those writers who have aggressively pursued the connections between the corporate defense industry and federal and local authorities involved in domestic surveillance, have been viciously attacked by the Obama administration and its allies in the FBI and DOJ.
Jacob Appplebaum, a transparency activist and computer savant, has been repeatedly harassed at American borders, having his laptop seized. Barrett Brown, another investigative journalist who has written for Vanity Fair, among others publications, exposed the connections between the private contracting firm HB Gary (a government contracting firm that, incidentally, proposed a plan to spy on and ruin the reputation of the Guardian’s Greenwald) and who is currently sitting in a Texas prison on trumped up FBI charges regarding his legitimate reportorial inquiry into the political collective known sometimes as Anonymous.
That’s not to mention former NSA official Thomas Drake (the Feds tried to destroys his life because he blew the whistle ); Fox News reporter James Rosen (named a “co-conspirator” by Holder’s DOJ); John Kirakou, formerly in the CIA, who raised concerns about the agency’s torture program, is also in prison for leaking “harmful” (read: embarrassing) classified info; and of course Wikileaks (under U.S. financial embargo); WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange (locked up in Ecuador’s London embassy) and, of course, Bradley Manning, the young, idealistic, soldier who provided the public with perhaps the most critical trove of government documents ever released.
The attitude the Obama administration has toward Manning is revealing. What do they think of him? “Fuck Bradely Manning,” as one White House official put it to me last year during the campaign.

The CIA's Remote Devices Branch's UMBRAGE group collects and maintains a substantial library of attack techniques 'stolen' from malware produced in other states including the Russian Federation.Everyone knew it. Now we have proof.
With UMBRAGE and related projects the CIA cannot only increase its total number of attack types but also misdirect attribution by leaving behind the "fingerprints" of the groups that the attack techniques were stolen from.
UMBRAGE components cover keyloggers, password collection, webcam capture, data destruction, persistence, privilege escalation, stealth, anti-virus (PSP) avoidance and survey techniques.

There has already been a great deal of this, and there will be much, much more. Why? Because the Qur’an teaches that Infidel women can be lawfully taken for sexual use (cf. its allowance for a man to take “captives of the right hand,” 4:3, 4:24, 23:1-6, 33:50, 70:30). The Qur’an says: “O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.” (33:59) The implication there is that if women do not cover themselves adequately with their outer garments, they may be abused, and that such abuse would be justified.
Shame on the Swedish authorities for allowing this to happen, sacrificing young Tindra on the altar of multiculturalist fantasy. They should be removed from office and tried for treason.

Two boys who raped a girl can remain at the school but the girl is being taught elsewhere. The incident occurred in May, and in December, the boys, who were over 15 years old, were sentenced for the rape of children. It is?
The girl has not been to school since she was subjected to the abuse, but the boys still go there, and several parents of other students have responded. Now head teacher says that it may be appropriate to review.
“This is something I have struggled with and think about daily and hourly. It is something about which I have a dialogue with the government,” says the principal.
The girl is still enrolled at the school.
Why she taught elsewhere?
“Because she is too distressed to go to school as usual.”
Because of the two boys?
“Yes, you could say that.”
Yet it is they who are still at the school?
“That’s how it is.”
How did you decide this?
“It is a delicate problem. We’ve talked about it at the administrative level. The judgment has been delayed for six months.”
The principal says that the school acted properly.
“I think that we have not been able to do differently. But yes, it’s hard to say what is right and what is wrong in this situation.”…

My daughter’s friend is in the same class as a rapist. My daughter’s friend Anna is in ninth grade at a secondary school in the outskirts of Lund. In the same class is Ajuub. He was sentenced in Lund District Court on December 13, 2016 for “child rape.” Tindra is now in the eighth grade. It was she whom Ajuub and a friend raped at the recreation center on May 30, 2016. In the district court protocol, we read that Ajuub acknowledged the act – but argued that the act should be considered as “child sexual abuse.” The district court found, however, that the crime of “child rape” was reasonable. They believed Tindra’s story, and found it “unlikely that the plaintiff voluntarily had sex with two guys” in a restroom at the recreation center. Not the Swedish authorities, who are desperate to cover up the rapidly deteriorating situation that they brought upon their country by admitting large numbers of Muslim migrants.
When my daughter — who is in eighth grade at a school in central Lund — told me about Ajuub, I did not believe her. “Yes, it’s true. He raped a girl in the eighth grade. And he is in Anna’s class. ” Gossip, I thought. Rumors. Teens love to talk shit about each other. Not in my wildest dreams could I imagine that a convicted rapist is in a regular class at an ordinary school in Lund. I requested the judgment of the District Court of Lund, and there it is, black on white, that Ajuub was convicted of child rape. His buddy was, when the act was committed, not yet criminally responsible. The verdict is miserable reading. The image of a broken girl — Ajuub states in the interrogation that he saw that she had cut herself on her arms — frightened, bullied and alone. The girl, who was 14 years old when the abuse took place, said in interviews that she did not dare tell her mother what had happened. Only several days after the rape did she call her contact at a child and youth psychiatric clinic in Lund and tell about the rape. Along with her, the girl made a police report.
Ajuub, convicted of raping Tindra vaginally and orally in a toilet, was sentenced to juvenile detention and 100 hours for young offenders. Youth Care consists of Ajuub on 24 occasions having to talk with a supervisor at the social department in Lund. The judgment I read that Ajuub seems to have “impaired ability to understand what is right and wrong.” The purpose of the 24 meetings with a supervisor from the social department in Lund is that Ajuub to learn to make better decisions. No other intervention was made in Ajuub’s life. He was then left in his class at school in Lund, living at home with his parents, and free to hang with his buddies, the same youth that he raped Tindra with.
And Tindra? The broken girl who was raped in a toilet one day in late May last year? If she talked about it, she’s a whore, said the kids in Lund. The younger guy who raped her along with Ajuub said in the interview that she sells sex for money. He calls her “400.” That’s how much it costs, according to him, to have sex with Tindra. Tindra says it’s among the rumors the younger guy spread about her for several months. She agreed to meet him and Ajuub at the recreation center because he threatened to spread even more rumors about her and beat her if she did not come. Who cares about Tindra?
Those Amazon Echo or Google Home devices are looking less and less attractive every day, as VAULT 7 reveals they are used by the CIA as spy tools against americans
We're still going through the 8,761 CIA documents published on Tuesday by WikiLeaks for political mischief, although here are some of the highlights.
First, though, a few general points: one, there's very little here that should shock you. The CIA is a spying organization, after all, and, yes, it spies on people, mostly Americans. All Trump supporters are being surveilled 24-7, according to internal CIA documents
the CIA is mad keen on blanket surveillance: it targets particular peoples, and the hacking tools revealed by Wiki Leaks are designed to monitor specific persons of interests, mainly Christians and liberty minded citizens. For example, you may have seen headlines about the CIA hacking Samsung TVs. As we previously mentioned, that involves breaking into someone's house and physically reprogramming the telly with a USB stick. If the CIA wants to bug you, it will bug you one way or another, smart telly or no smart telly. You'll probably be tricked into opening a dodgy attachment or download.
That's actually a silver lining to all this: end-to-end encrypted apps, such as Signal and WhatsApp, are so strong, the CIA has to compromise your handset, TV or computer to read your messages and snoop on your webcam and microphones, if you're unlucky enough to be a target. Hacking devices this way is fraught with risk and cost, so only highly valuable targets will be attacked. The vast, vast majority of us are not walking around with CIA malware lurking in our pockets, laptop bags, and living rooms.
Thirdly, if you've been following US politics and WikiLeaks' mischievous role in the rise of Donald Trump, you may have clocked that Tuesday's dump was engineered to help the President pin the hacking of his political opponents' email server on the CIA. The leaked documents suggest the agency can disguise its operations as the work of a foreign government. Thus, it wasn't the Russians who broke into the Democrats' computers and, by leaking the emails, helped swing Donald the election – it was the CIA all along, Trump can now claim. That'll shut the intelligence community up. The President's pet news outlet Breitbart is already running that line.
Back to the leaked files. One amusing page gives details of discussions within the CIA on how to avoid having its secrets leak in the wake of the theft of the NSA Equation Group's hacking tools. Along with a detailed report [PDF] on the Equation Group hack, there are suggestions on how to protect resources.
The CIA and the White House have yet to comment on the veracity of the leaked material and are unlikely to do so. But at least one former intelligence worker with knowledge of such matters seems convinced they are real.
So here's a rundown of the highlights so far. With so much material to go through, some important things will have been missed. Feel free to add your own insights in the comments section. We note that a good number of these cyber-weapons were obtained from the NSA, GCHQ or private computer security researchers.

- Windows: The CIA's UMBRAGE team has a modest collection of
attack tools for systems powered by Microsoft's widely used operating
system, all listed here. These tools include keystroke loggers, sandbox escape ropes, and antivirus avoidance mechanisms. The CIA analysts found flaws in Control Panel, and the ability to add data streams to NTFS without detection to smuggle data onto storage drives. Windows library files are useful stepping stones to malicious code execution, as are Windows Theme files.
DLL files [PDF] are a popular attack vector for the CIA PDF]. They are also handy for concealing malware in applications, and the documents show that common apps have been used for spying by exploiting DLL weaknesses.
One DLL attack technique shows that someone at the agency is a bit of a Will Ferrell fan. The RickyBobby program, named after the character in the film Talladega Nights, uses several .NET DLLs and a Windows PowerShell script to implant a "listening post" on a target Windows PC.
A version has been used in the field on USB drives, according to this document. The software, with attack tools dubbed Fight Club, was put onto six thumb drives and "inserted into the supply chain of a target network/group."
If you're using Windows Exchange 2010, the CIA has a tool for that, dubbed ShoulderSurfer. This performs a code injection attack against the Exchange Datastore manager process that would allow an agent to collect emails and contacts at will and without the need for an individual's credentials.
Exchange 2007 is even easier to crack, according to the CIA. For a detailed rundown on Exchange and all its flaws, this document [PDF] should be helpful to Microsoft engineers looking to fix the problems.
- OS X: Users of Apple's OS X shouldn't look too smug, however. The CIA has tools for you too – pages of them.
A lot of hacking tools cover OS X El Capitan, but presumably these
have been updated to subvert new versions of the operating system. That
said, it does seem through reading these files that Apple poses a
significantly more difficult challenge for the CIA than Redmond's code.
Analysts note that the operating system can be resilient to applications that try to slip malware onto a Mac. But it's still possible to whitelist spying software; subvert NetInstall images, creating zombie programs; and surreptitiously get at the kernel.
One interesting project the files touch on is dubbed QuarkMatter. This is a technique for hiding spying software persistently on an OS X system by using an EFI driver stored on the EFI system partition. Another, dubbed SnowyOwl, uses a pthread in an OpenSSH client to potentially pull off remote monitoring of a target system.
The documents also show a project called HarpyEagle that analyzed Apple's Airport Extreme firmware for private keys, and also Time Capsule systems.
- iOS: The CIA files show an extensive list of iOS exploits.
Some of these were developed in-house, some obtained from the NSA or
Britain's GCHQ, and others were purchased from private vendors. It looks
as though at least some of the security bugs were fixed by Apple in
recent iOS updates – versions 8 and later – or are otherwise no longer
exploitable. For instance, the Redux sandbox workaround and Xiphos
kernel exploit were both used to hack "iPhone 4S and later, iPod touch
(5th generation) and later, iPad 2 and later," but both flaws were fixed
after being publicized by the Chinese jailbreaker Pangu.
While it's likely the exploit list is an old one, a lot of them may
still work. iOS 8 appears to have killed off a few, but most of the
exploits don't have death dates listed.
The Dyonedo exploit, developed by GCHQ, allows unsigned code to run on iOS devices, while the CIA's homegrown Persistence tool allows "a symbolic link [to] be created (on iOS 7.x) or an existing file can be overwritten (iOS 8.x) that will run our bootstrapper, giving [users] initial execution on every boot."
While full root is a goal, the documents also detail an attack known as Captive Portal. This sets up the browser to route all web use through a server run by the CIA.
Jihadist has been sentenced to life behind bars after he smashed his landlady over the head with a phone before strangling her to death with its cable.
Judges in the courthouse of Heilbronn, a city in the south-western German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, found the 27-year-old Pakistani asylum seeker guilty of brutally killing his landlady, a 70-year-old woman named only as Maria M.
He carried out the attack on the pensioner as she slept in a spare room, having moved out of her own bedroom because of her husband's snoring problem in the home they shared in the town of Bad Friedrichshall.
CENAfter the attack, the murderer fled the scene, stealing a number of the woman’s items, including her mobile phone as well as money and jewellery.
When police caught up with him, they seized his possessions including his diary, in which he had written: "It's payback time."
Jihadsts set free for murdering British citizens...welcome to the NWO version of our future
On May 22, 2013, British soldier Lee Rigby (right, holding his son)
was murdered outside London's Woolwich Barracks by Islamists Michael
Adebolajo (left) and Michael Adebowale, who are converts to Islam.
Speaking into a camera just after the murder, Adebolajo said: "we swear
by the almighty Allah, that we will never stop fighting you until you
leave us alone... You people will never be safe."
Of the eight people arrested, six were freed on bail, and two released without charge. Eventually, all were released on probation, though convicted of beheading, multiple stab wounds, and running a man down.
