CCTV caught Both Douk Deng, 21, acting strangely on the premises of a school in Greater Manchester in August of last year.
Police bodycam footage showed the moment he was arrested in possession of the offensive weapons.
He had already been rejected for asylum three times by the U.K. Home Office, but still remained in the country.
A court heard how he had grown frustrated with the asylum process and was acting out to speed up the process.
He was jailed for two years, but is expected to serve one year with the rest out on license. So he can go and kill some more.
